Curriculum

The Unity Center offers a very active spiritual education program for youth. We teach the five basic principles of Unity through the use of art, music, games, story-reading, meditation, prayer, cooking, laughter, and joy. Our mission is to provide an atmosphere that supports family values, encourages self-discovery, God-discovery, and self-responsibility for all living things.

The five basic Unity principles we teach have been simplified and re-worded for children:

1. God is absolute good, everywhere present.

2. I am naturally good because the spark of the divine is within me.

3. I create my experiences by what I choose to think and what I choose to believe. Everything begins in thought.

4. Through affirmative prayer and meditation, I connect with God and bring out the good in my life.

5. Knowing and understanding the laws of life are not enough. I must also live this Truth by my actions. I make a difference.
